Ciren Samba is a community samba drumming group in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Experience the energy and excitement of Brazilian samba drumming under friendly, expert tuition. Have fun, meet new people, and blow off some steam. All ages and abilities warmly welcome, no experience necessary. All equipment provided.

Held in the lovely New Brewery Arts Theatre, GL7 1JH, every Tuesday 7.30-9pm.

This 35+ piece Maracatu mob specialise in blasting out the rootsy rhythms of the Northeast of Brazil. With influences including Maracatu Nação, Maracatu Rural, Côco, Caboclinho, Ijexá, Ciranda, Samba Reggae, and even Guaguanco, our Pernambuco-geeksome gang features drummers, dancers, singers, and melody instrumentalists (bass, guitar, violin, and flute).
