~~~~~~~~~ LUTON ENCONTRO 2011 CONCENSUS ~~~~~~~~~

Here's a message from Pat Till at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts ......

"The UKCCA would like to express an interest in the possibility of staging an encontro here in Luton at the new carnival centre next year. We would suggest either late June or early July as this is when the university halls of residence are available.

Great idea. Suggest the date is set to avoid the Coburg and Hitchin festivals.

Swindon Samba would definitely be interested in principle, but it would very much depend on the date/cost. Quite impossible to say how many at this stage as new members are joining us all the time! About 7 of us attended Cardiff but I would expect more than that next year.
