Morro 16 is a Dublin-based group of friends who love to play Rio-style samba. We're all currently involved in other Brazilian music groups in Dublin but come together under the guise of "Morro 16" to play as a street bloco whenever we get the chance.

We had our first outing in February 2008, playing in the terraces of Croke Park on the famous "Hill 16". Since then we have performed at some of Ireland's largest music festivals: Saint Patrick's Festival, Drogheda Samba festival, Dun Laoghaire Festival of World Cultures and Electric Picnic.
