The Haylestorm Samba Band will start practising at Redruth Youth Centre, in the grounds of Redruth School, on Wednesday evenings between 8pm and 9.30pm.
It costs £1.50 a week – or £1 for children under 18 – to cover costs, but the first week is free for people to try.
The group is led by 17-year-old Ben Ford, who teaches different tunes and Brazilian rhythms on various drums and percussion instruments.
The group was originally formed for adults, but with a young leader members now want secondary school aged youngsters to join, as long as children under 16 are accompanied by a parent.
