Essex Samba

We are a popular community based Samba Band formed in May 2005 and we support many local carnivals, and fetes. We can also be booked for other public and private events all round the county . The band have played in London New Year's Day Parade, V Festival, Essex County Cricket, Colchester United Football Ground, Essex Chieftains Ice Hockey.

Some of our band members have branched out and played in Dublin, Thames Festival, Edinburgh, New York, Italy, Cuba and Brazil. Plus some are members of Bloco Do Sol Nascente a national UK band who play and tour with Monobloco from Rio., and the newly formed Maracatu band Bafo Da Onca.

The emphasis of the band is fun and the enjoyment of Brazilian Samba, we have a mixture of members of all ages and no experience is required, just a sense of Rhythm!

Practices are every Wednesday at Witham Town Football Club, 7-9pm.
