An engineer for 24 years & sambista for 20 of them, I decided to improve on my website building skills by developing a kind of distance learning/aide memoire thingy for my own bloco (group of percussionists). It includes some mp3 & midi files along with some flash/shockwave gizmos and tablature. I also thought that it would look nice on a school music room interactive white board one day.
Hmm, yeh, err, well I run quite a few websites now and the Bloco do Sul website had run out of space. The project is not linked into the UKSA site because it was never really meant to be and, at this moment in time, I don't see it as the job of the UKSA site to teach this stuff. You have either been passed a link to this set of pages or you've surfed here by accident or design, either way, WELCOME.
It's not totally samba but a collection of some of the Brazilian inspired rhythms that Bloco do Sul play.
No, it's ongoing .....
