Drumdin is an open community band set up in 1984 for the Tall Ships event in Newcastle upon Tyne, and we have been going ever since. We play a combination of traditional rythyms and new tunes brought to us by out very talented ''leaders''.

We have played at many different and varied events which include the Durham Miners Gala (yes, in amongst all those wonderful brass bands!!); the launch of the "Window on the World" festival in North Shields; the Great North Run; many departments within Durham University (it seems they can''t get enough of us!); and we are about to play at a Ghanaian chiefs wedding (unfortunately not in Ghana!). We are always looking for new (and unusual) gigs to perform.

We invite you to join us at the Newcastle Music Service, 41 Jesmond Vale, Newcastle, NE2 1PG, where we practise every Wednesday from 7.15 - 9pm. We have instruments for you to use.

Visit www.drumdin.co.uk to see a list of the gigs we have played in the past 12 months, future events and more information.
