Cardboard Citizens Samba Band

Cardboard Citizens is the UK''s only homeless people''s professional theatre company. The company specializes in making Theatre, but has broadened in to the provision of a range of performance-based cultural actions with, for and by homeless and ex-homeless people, including the Cardboard Citizens Samba Band.

Cardboard Citizens Samba Band has been playing for a year now and has performed at events such as Car Free Day, Thames Festival and the opening of Trafalgar Square Plasa as well as hostels and day centres across the city. We''ve played with London School of Samba, Rhythms of Resistance and Barking Bateria.

We provide FREE weekly workshops in Tower Hamlets, all welcome staffed by Rhythms of Resistance. For further details or gig requests contact Lucinda or Emily.
