SAMBA SOMERSET STYLE........Put the afro-portugese rhythms of Brazil through the heads, hands and drums of a bunch of Somerset folk and BLACKDOWN SAMBA comes to life!

Based in them there hills BLACKDOWN SAMBA are a community band of disparate (some would say desperate) rhythm freaks with a common goal of having fun with drums!!

No sense of rhythm? Nonsense! We bring out the beat in everyone at our regular practices in Churchinford. Interested in having a go? email us!

Born out of the Blackdown Hills Beer and Music Festival in 2001, we have since prompted foot shuffling and hip swaying at festivals, carnivals, corporate events, parties and all manner of celebrations.
