Alegria Samba Group

Alegria is a Brazilian samba Group based in Maidenhead Berkshire, England.

The group was created for a performance at the Maidenhead Carnival and has since continued performing in many events.

Alegria's performances and drumming classes are lead by Michel Neves from Santos,  SP Brazil where he learned to play all the instruments from many traditional samba schools including X-9 of Santos founded in 1944. Alegria's colours are blue and white in homage to one of the most traditional samba school's of Rio de Janeiro (Portela)
